FIA PRESS RELEASE // ABU DHABI COURSE LAYOUT

The FIA has released the official layout for the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, on November 15th. Taking the spot of Brazil (no, don’t worry, they didn’t cancel Brazil), the Abu Dhabi GP will be the last race of the ‘09 season. Autosport interviewed the CEO of Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management, Phillippe Gurdijan, and this is what he had to say about the new circuit: “Yas Marina Circuit took over my life more than a year ago, and now I’m very proud that Abu Dhabi can present one of the most sophisticated Formula One race tracks in the world.” Absent of a North American Grand Prix for 2009, and with the cancellation of the French GP, it appears the Middle East will be host to a large portion of the ‘09 season.
