Rumor has it, former Super Aguri driver Takuma Sato will be testing with F1 team, Toro Rosso. Having not confirmed their driver lineup for the 2009 season, it appears Toro Rosso is considering both Sato and GP2 driver Sebastien Buemi, according to team principal Franz Tost. Current Toro Rosso driver Sebastien Vettel will be moving to the Red Bull team for the ‘09 season, and Sebastien Bourdais is yet to be listed as returning. That leaves two spots open at Toro Rosso, a seemingly proper place for 91 grand-prix vet Sato and the up and comer, 19 year old Buemi. Both drivers will get a chance behind the wheel of the STR3 at Jerez, following the Italian Grand Prix, and according to Franz Tost, “The time has come to try and find a suitable replacement for Vettel.” Rumor also has it, 37 year old Scotsman David Coulthard will settle for an early retirement following the Italian GP at Monza, leaving a seat open at Red Bull for Vettel. This would create a vacancy in the Ferrari powered Toro Rosso car, allowing the team to test either Sato or Buemi during the last four races of the season. Again, all rumors // 09.03.2008
