Last week we blogged about the Viper ACR’s record lap of the Nurburgring. We posted some in-car video, showing the 600 bhp V10, as it man handled the Nordschleife. What we didn’t tell you, is that the ACR was piloted by SRT engineer Tom Coronel, on his fifth lap around the ring, ever. Arriving the day prior, the SRT team, with Coronel behind the wheel, actually bested the ZR1’s record time on their third lap (7:24.1), but proceeded to crush all hope, as he went on to beat his own time, and lay down a 7:22.1 lap time. This time around, we thought we’d give our readers a different angle of the ACR at the ring. The video comes courtesy of the Viper Club of America, and is a suction cup mounted, passenger side view of the ACR (with G-Force data and track location presented on screen), while it sets the new standard.
