Hennessey Performance Engineering has chosen a different route for the sale of their 1,000bhp, 235.4mph Ford GT, appropriately named the GT1000. Avoiding the typical auction houses of Bonham's and Barrett-Jackson, Hennessey will utilize Ebay for the sale. The starting price is $229,500, a solid $90,000 over the car’s $139,500 list price. The additional cost however, reflects the installation of a GT1000 Twin Turbo system, a twin Garrett ball-bearing turbo set up, increasing boost from the stock (supercharged) level of 13psi to 18.5psi. As well as two way adjustable Penske coilover suspension and a host of other go fast goodies. The asking price doesn't seem that far off the mark anymore.
