British car builder Trident is looking to join the ranks of the eco-friendly supercars (are there such things?), and has announced the release of their new Iceni two seater. Weighing in at 3,262lbs, the Iceni is powered by a 6.6Liter, turbo-diesel V8, that can run on any kind of biodiesel (without voiding any warranties). The diesel powerplant produces 550bhp at 3,800 rpm and 950lb/ft of torque at just 1,800 rpm. The British automaker has claimed their Iceni is capable of 0-60 times in the sub four second range (3.7 to be precise), and can top the 200mph mark. All of this and a claimed 57mpg, sounds like eco-friendly supercars are here // 08.20.2008
