10 YEARS // 2008 GUMBALL 3000

This year marks the ten year anniversary of the illustrious Gumball 3000. This years event will begin today in San Francisco, head South out of the city, through Los Angeles and San Diego, and then turn East towards Las Vegas. The 120 rally competitors will then board airplanes in Vegas and fly to North Korea. Ralling across three country's, drivers will continue in Pyongyang, racing from there toward Shanghai, Shanghai to Zhengzhou, Zhengzhou to the finish in Beijing. Cmpetitors will be witness to the Mass Games in North Korea as well as the Olympics in China. Total distance: 3000 miles. Time to complete: eight days. Last years event was stopped short due to an accident that killed two bystander's, and this years competitors are hoping to complete the rally without incident.
