Carroll Shelby // A Return To Racing

This coming weekend's Kohler International Challenge at Road America will see the return of one very famous individual. Well, not the man himself, but his racing program none the less. The Shelby Automotive Racing Team will be officially represented for the first time since the late ‘60’s. Four CSX4000 Shelby 427 Cobra’s will be present, as will Carroll Shelby himself. Having been absent for a few decades, I think the old guy explained his intentions better then we could, "My goal is to return us to professional racing and this is just the beginning." Incinuating that Shelby Racing may be seen in future events, maybe a few Shelby backed Mustangs terrorizing your local race track? No word yet, but knowing the competitve spirit of Shelby and being supported by Ford, nothing would surprise us // 07.16.2008
