Audi RS5 // Spec Released

With a powerplant derived from the Audi RS4, the new Audi coupe, set to do battle with a certain Bavarian V8, is a little less exciting then we expected. The B7 4.2Liter V8 is good for a solid 470bhp, and with an abundance of aluminum and magnesium bits, the weight is targeted at 1580kg (even with 20" wheels). No slow poke, the RS5 is sure to impress, we were just hoping for a dual turbo V10 variant, borrowing from sister company Lamborghini, and allowing the Audi coupe to do battle with the GT-R. This is a good place to start we suppose, and we are betting people who just landed the standard A5 will be turing in their leases early, upgrading to something a bit more potent // 07.18.2008
