Mikko Hirovonen, having driven hard, holding the lead early, landed a fifth place finish at the end of the first day. This allowed him a break as day two rolled on, in which he regained the lead and finished atop the pack at the WRC in Turkey. Sebastian Loeb, Citroen Total driver, chipped away at Hirovonen’s lead, as the second day saw rough gravel road conditions. Though suffering from a punctured front tire, Hirovonen managed to retain his lead and finish first. The victory marks the second win for the BP Abu Dhabi Ford, and puts the team nine points over the Citroen Total team in the manufacturers championship // 06.17.2008
