MODIFIED LIVE // FIRST ROUND AT OULTON PARK

If the terms SR20, R32 and JDM mean anything to you then you will undoubtedly be familiar with Modified Live, a car show for all of us import and tuner fans. With two shows this year, the first part featured at Oulton Park with a plethora of sights and sounds to please even the most hardcore of tuner-heads.

With the first rounds of Time Attack UK and the Need for Speed European Drift Championship breathing some much needed tyre smoke and turbo sounds to the sleepy Cheshire based circuit, the infield at Oulton Park played host to car club displays, trader booths and open paddocks for both of the track action headline events... It’s one thing to see drift machines tear around the track sideways at over 100mph furiously kicking up smoke behind them, it’s another to view these sleeping demons at the EDC paddock. All competitors had their machines on display for public viewing, and if you’re lucky you could squeeze in a quick chat with the drivers too.

Polishing gurus Autoglym were proud to display their stunning Toyota Supra RZ in front of their booth. It’s fantastic custom livery sporting a stunningly painted dragon graphic with a rising sun backdrop. With equally impressing aerodynamic bodywork, this Supra wears its Autoglym logo loud and proud.

Amongst the buzz were a few car clubs and displays. Two in particular were the Subaru and Volkswagen car clubs. With so many members displaying their cars they had enough to set up their own showrooms! Like ridiculously loud car audio systems? They were there too as well as host of custom vehicles such as this lovely red Nissan 350Z wearing shoes by Racing Hart.

Last but not least, what’s a car show without promotion girls? Toyo Tyres were kind enough to set up a stage where the lovely ladies could pose in style.

Modified Live continues with Part Two at Snetterton in October and will also play host to the final rounds of Time Attack UK and the Need for Speed European Drift Championship. Until then, stay tuned for future coverage of all five rounds of both series here on ColdTrackDays.
