In Paris today (Nov 3rd) the FIA World Motor Sport Council has approved the new system for the World Touring Car Championship reverse grid that will be adopted from next year. In order to avoid drivers deliberately losing positions during Race 1 with the aim of securing pole position for Race 2, from 2011 the reverse grid for the second race will be based on the final results of the Q1 qualifying session. Also confirmed was the revised 2011 calender which now includes Zolder in Belgium once more and also confirms Donington Park as the venue for the UK round of the series.
