    Remember guys that the Northwest 200 races takes places today. Sadly Steve Plater, the poleman of both superbike races, was injured in an high speed crash during the practice session and will not race.

    For those who don't know what it is, the Northwest 200 is a race which takes place since 1929 on Northern Ireland country roads, forming roughly a triangle between Portrush, Coleraine and Portstewart.

    Like the other big race of the road racing championship, the Ulster GP, the racing action is quite different to the Isle of Man because this is not a time trial. All riders start in groups.
