CULTURE // THE TRD HOT VERSION LEVIN N2

Featured in countless motorsport videos, to include Hot Version, Best Motoring, and AE86 Club, the TRD Hot Version N2 Racer was powered by a 220hp 1.6-liter 16 valve 4A-GE motor that could wind well past 9500rpm and was capable of lapping the Tsukuba Circuit in the one minute range.

Created by the late Sakurai-san of TRD and piloted by Keiichi Tsuchiya, the TRD Hot Version N2 AE86 competed in the bi-annual N2 races which were sponsored by Best Motoring. SInce 2001, the car has won two N2 races for Hot Version and spawned quite a few clones the world over.
