2010 MONACO GRAND PRIX // PRACTICE RESULTS

Fernando Alonso topped the time sheets during the second of two free practice sessions ahead of this weekends Monaco Grand Prix. With a bit of rain falling on track, nearly every driver headed out as soon as the green flag waved, hoping to complete at least a few laps before any serious rain began to fall. Traffic was an issue for the front runners, with a handful of drivers losing precious seconds as they made their way around the Monaco street circuit, negotiating both the back markers and the newly configured track. Some of the drivers went straight on at Sainte Devote, including Timo Glock and Felipe Massa, while others missed the chicane at the harbour front, bouncing over the new curb on the inside of the corner. Finishing the day with the second fastest time was Mercedes GP driver, Nico Rosberg, who managed a 1:15.013 lap time, some 0.109 seconds off the pace of Alonso. Finishing third was Sebastian Vettel in the Renault powered Red Bull.
