With only 500 units scheduled for production, 84 of which will be available stateside, the Alfa Romeo 8C combines exclusivity, elegance and performance into one of the most appealing automobiles we have ever seen. However, while the 8C would certainly meet our needs, some would say that 500 production units is a bit much, and that the performance, while comparable to say Aston Martin's DB9, is not worth the $250,000 price tag. So for those dissatisfied with the standard 8C, Alfa Romeo has just announced the release of a new 8C, dubbed the 8C GTA.
Designed to take the 8C into 430 Scuderia territory, the 8C GTA will be limited to 100 units and will feature a 500bhp 4.7 liter V8, excessive amounts of carbon fiber, upgraded suspension bits, carbon-ceramic brakes and a completely resdesigned, carbon fiber body kit. Due out some time next year, the 8C GTA, while certainly appealing in terms of it's performance, is a bit much for us... // [comment]
