I came across this great bit of video from the 1969 German Grand Prix at the Nurburgring. A race that was won by none other then (7) time Le Mans winner, Jacky Ickx, the ‘69 German Grand Prix was one of the first races where aerodynamic improvements allowed for increased speeds around Germany’s famed ‘Green Hell.’ A dangerous mix of tree lined straightaways and high speed corners, it is no surprise ‘The Ring’ is no longer a stop on the F1 calendar

ReplyDeleteAnything but! The film is without COMMENTARY and to be honest it is better for it. There is sound... wonderful sound. It only lacks meaningless blather! ;)
It is nice to compare this with the video you linked yesterday, and note how the wings helped keep the cars on the road over some of the 'Rings notorious "flight spots".
