Hard rain, to peeking sun, and repeat, all weekend. You could walk around the pits and feel the tension during the downtime.
Moore was absent for Saturday's afternoon race, but caught the MotoGT class Endurance race, which was red-flagged after 1.5 hours of some pretty cautious racing in the wet due to excessive oil on the track surface.
Sunday: After a tornado warning and quite violent wind/rain storm passed over the track, the officials made a pretty daring (see: ballsy) call to run the race as soon as the puddles were scrubbed out.
Turns out it was a good call, as Supersport, Sportbike, and Superbike races went off without a hitch at a decreased amount of laps--16 laps down from 21-- because of the 2.5 hour weather delay.
Mat Mladin took 1st to extend his monstrous lead in the points, Aaron Yates picking up 2nd and Ben Bostrom in 3rd.
