For 2010, the maximum motorcycle capacity for the Dakar Rally is being reduced to 450cc. The reduction was implemented in hopes of leveling the playing field so that manufacturers such as Aprilia, BMW and Yamaha would have a chance against the perennial favorite, KTM.
