Celebrating the Corvette’s 50th anniversary, Chevrolet has just announced the release of a lightened, no-nonsense version of the Corvette Z06, what they are calling the Z06 Carbon. Utilizing parts from the 2010 ZR1, the new Z06 Carbon will be equipped with Magnetic Selective Ride Control, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, an enhanced cooling system and a set of black 20-inch wheels. Carbon fiber bits and pieces make up the majority of aesthetic changes, however Chevy expects their new Z06 to run laps at Laguna Seca some three seconds faster than the last edition // [comment]
