Foust will pilot the same 600hp Ford Fiesta he used in last year’s X-Games, as Rallycross, unlike traditional rally racing, allows for increased horsepower (about 50% more) and utilizes short stages consisting of dirt, jumps and tarmac.
Foust went on to say, "I've been watching European-style Rally Cross for years. I love the combination of dirt, pavement, jumps and door-to-door action – it's like a real-life videogame. I'm really excited to be on the leading edge of this discipline as it grows in the U.S. It's been popular in Europe for years – the fans here are going to love it."
As Tanner Foust prepares to bring Rallycross to the United States, be sure and watch for him in the 2010 Formula DRIFT Championship, as well as this year's X-Games competition.
