Valentino Rossi set the fastest time of the Official Test Session today at the Sepang International Circuit. Riding the new Yamaha M1, Rossi set the time of 2:01.411, just under a second off the pace (2:00.518) which secured him pole position in the 2009 race at the same track. Rossi's teammate and arch rival, Jorge Lorenzo, only managed to clock a 2:02.165, some 0.754 seconds slower than Rossi's time. 2nd place belongs to Casey Stoner, as he was separated by a gap of 0.491 seconds. Colin Edwards took 3rd with a best lap of 2:01.932. Testing resumes tomorrow at 9am local time.
